HISTORY- This island where Palma De Mallorca is located take its name from Palmeria; As part of their expension, the town was founded by the Romans in 120 BC. This location was considerable advantages for the transportation of olives and salt to which is now Italy. The real expansion began 1229 when Jaume I of Aragon captured Mallorca from the Moors. He also laid the foundation stone for the landmark building of Palma; the Gothic cathedral of Sa Seu, easily seen as you fly over the city. During the French War (1804-1814) Palma became a refuge for many Spaniards. The city was filled with people from all walks. Despite this sudden increase in population, continued to grow intramural in Palma. Just as Santa Catalina suburbs or extended Molinar sheepishly. Not until 1900 Calvet Palma urbanism, approved the Plan, from which the city widened far beyond its defensive walls. In 1902 he began the demolition of the walls, which began to widen the city, a process that dramatically interrupted only during the unhappy years of the Civil War. By the early fifties of last century developed the tourism industry hard and became the first engine of the island's economy.  When the late seventies recovers the democratic system in Spain, Palma and tourist capital is undergoing a process of modernization and re-produce significant urban growth that has stretched to almost the first decade of the century. BEST TIME TO VISIT -  Summer – June, July, August -  Hottest Months is July and August. This is the busiest period for the International Travelers which is the major vacation month in Europe. City like Madrid has dry heat. The average temperature can hover around 84°F (29°C) in July and Seville has the reputation to be the hottest part of Spain in July and August from an average temperature can hover around 93°F (34°C). The Spanish evacuate these cities in the unbearably hot months and escape to the cooler coast. Because of the heat, many cities are deserted but there are tourist everywhere. June average temperature can hover around 75°F (24°C). Some tours only operate in the summer. That is some of the disadvantage of visiting Spain in Summer due to the heat.   AVOID - Fall – September, October, November -  Autumn is equally comfortable, though less green and the landscapes are drier. September average temperature can hover around 75°F (24°C). BUT - from the side of the Altantic Coast of Spain October and November you will experiences heavy rains. Springs – March, April, May - Mars, April and May are more comfortable times to get bronzed. Spain is best visited in the springtime, when the temperatures are generally warm and comfortable, the landscapes are in full bloom and the best of the fiestas take place. May are the best months, in terms of both weather and crowds and the temperature is around 80°F (27°C). March temperature can hover around 65°F (19°C) and April is around 82°F (28°C). Winter – December, January, February – Don’t mind the cold! December, January February, where it’s less crowds, not so hot in the south but more events going on. Easier to book hotels at the last minutes, allowing you to have a freer itinerary. The winter climate varies from freezing in the central regions to pleasant on the southern coast and in the Balearic Islands. In winter, the coast from Algeciras to Málaga is the most popular, with temperatures reaching a warm 60°F to 63°F (16°-17°C). Madrid gets cold, as low as 34°F (1°C). Majorca is warmer, usually in the 50°C (low teens Celsius), but it often dips into the 40°C (single digits Celsius). Some mountain resorts can experience extreme cold. If this is the only time of year you can travel or a tight budget but you don't like the idea of such intense heat, consider visiting the north of Spain instead. Bilbao and Santiago de Compostela are much cooler than cities to the south. If you don’t mind to go at your own pace without having to book accommodation months in advance these months are probably favorable to your time. Disadvantage – bad weather in the north – no beat weather in the south. 2-Hotel H10 Punta Negra in Calvia Spain-2  H10 Punta Negra, Calvià - Mallorca (4*) $154.00 Can = 2 peoples $1,078 (7 nights) Location  On the beach in Calvia (Palmanova), H10 Punta Negra is close to Marineland Mallorca, Puerto Portals Marina, and Golf Fantasia.
